Founder: Ali Hamad Al Rashidi

The founding father, Ali bin Hamad bin Rashid Al Rashidi, was born in the 1940s in the state of Sinaw, where he grew up in a very modest family. His pious father was the imam of Al-Hosn Mosque - located in the market quarters in Sinaw - and a Qur’an teacher there.

The first characteristics of a merchant or entrepreneur may have appeared in the founder since his childhood, at the age of ten, when he would buy a box of biscuits and sell them to his fellow children individually, and he was a supporter of his son - at the age of fifteen - who opened a small shop to sell various items such as legumes in the old Sinaw market. He helped him from noon until sunset, while he worked in transporting the materials used in construction at that time from available sites to the construction sites using his donkey during the morning.

His father - may God have mercy on him - died about a year later, and he and his older brother, “Amer,” inherited from him a small shop. It may have been the smallest and narrowest at the time in the old Sinaw market. That shop was the start of their commercial business, which later flourished under the name (Amer and Ali Sons of Hamad Al Rashidi Company).

The two brothers’ business developed remarkably in the following years, with God’s grace, cooperation, honesty, and loyalty to each other. They moved to a shop larger than the one they inherited from their father - may God have mercy on him - after about 4 years. Then they moved to another, larger shop 5 years later, and thus they continued to develop their branches and activities. Since then, they have always been the first to provide new products in the region to people far and wide, such as soap, canned food, and fabrics. They were also the first to provide a wheat grinding machine in Sinaw, and the first to provide an electricity generator in Sinaw, and they worked in the trade of foodstuffs, electronic materials, and building materials. In the late eighties or early nineties, they began working in building and construction contracting. They also entered the real estate market and owned and operated fuel stations.

In July of the year 2020 AD, a new phase began in the business of the parents, Amer and Ali, when they decided to separate their commercial businesses and for each one to be independent in his business, and from there, Ali Bin Hamad Al Rashidi Company entered the market, which is still working in all the previously mentioned fields. The father, Ali, is still Bin Hamad Al Rashidi practices business to this day, and is keen every day to manage his business from the company’s main headquarters in the state of Sinaw.
